Whether you believe in biblical prophecy as I do, or you are just able to see the obvious, you know that challenging times lie ahead.
You know intuitively that there will be times that you will not be able to depend on your local utility companies.
That is why I have teamed up with a friend to offer The Self-Contained Dome!
We will assist you in making your dome self-sufficient so that your family can be comfortable in those times when the rest of the nation is experiencing upheaval and mayhem.
The monolithic dome is already an excellent insulator against both heat and cold and will keep you save from the outside elements. With a little planning, we can assist you in designing active and passive systems into your blueprint. This can easily accommodate a small refrigerator, lights, radio, and smaller appliances.
We can design your dome to be on grid, off grid, or -- as we recommend -- a combination of the two. In all cases, we will provide you with the most practical solution that meets your needs and your budget. For as little as $3,000, you can have convenient backup power when needed.
You will also be able to save money on your utility bills right away all while feeling good that you are benefiting the environment. Using a combination of alternate energies, both renewable and non-renewable, we can balance between comfort and practicality.
Using a combination of high-tech and low-tech solutions, we can design your home to be self-contained. You will have all the comforts of home -- well, at least all the comforts of modern day camping. You will be comfortable in both summer and winter and that can make all the difference in riding out a major catastrophe, natural or manmade.
Even if you can't afford our high-tech solutions now, we will work with your architect to allow you to add our technology later.
EcoShells make excellent garages, chicken coups, dog kennels, horse barns, and third world housing. They can be used for anything that does not require the same heating and cooling requirements of a home in a region with harsh winters.
The web site www.dftw.org (domes for the world) has this to say of the ecoshell:
EcoShells are constructed with 2 or 3 inches of concrete and a modest amount of rebar. EcoShells use less than 50% of concrete and rebar when compared to a conventional, rectangular building of the same square footage. The compound curve of the dome makes it stronger than virtually any other structure.
They also takes less money and time to construct.
Concrete Fences
Concrete fences can be a long lasting solid investment beautiful enhancement to your home. The above is only one example. (Click here for samples.) |
Concrete Pumping
I also own the equipment that can be used to fill ICF's (Insulated Concrete Forms). These are used primarily in building modern concrete homes and can be used as a basement or a stem wall to a dome home. Call me if you need help in this area as well. |

Because of my skills and knowledge of concrete, I can build for you almost any concrete structure. This includes sidewalks, fireplaces, driveways, and my specialty outside of dome homes, concrete fences.
Here is another example of what I can do:

This staircase cannot be purchased at your local home building supply store. It is unique to the grade, to the curve, and to the number of steps. I can create a custom staircase that will complement your custom house. Add coloring to the concrete, and you have a magnificent eye-catcher.
Also note the retaining walls. These too can be custom built.
Please feel free to contact me on any of these products.
For the person who needs a bridge that cannot be stolen, I offer concrete bridges. Please note that any bridge spanning any kind of depth must be designed by an architect.

Cold frames are greenhouses that lie close to the ground. They are advantageous because they allow the gardener to grow well into the winter season for reason that the ground will keep the low lying covered area warm. Those of us familiar with Monolithic domes know that concrete is a thermal battery, so by building a cold frame out of concrete, there is both the ground and the concrete keeping the inside of the cold frame at even temperatures. Most importantly, it keeps the area above freezing. This allows for a gardner to grow his own foods well into winter.
These are built with rebar reinforced concrete so that an initial investment of about $400 will last the gardner for decades. Note that this product is too heavy to be transported so it must be built on site.
Leitgeb Industries works with an independent contractor to provide concrete staining. Here is a sample of his work.
When I am not building domes and other concrete structures, I am building. In fact, I am not truly happy unless I am building. Mobile chicken coops is just another idea that keeps me building.
The concept is simple. If left to a single location, chickens have a way of turning grass into dirt. And their poop can build up extensively. This is the perfect solution to the problem for the urban farmer. The chickens in this coop will scratch a little, eat a little, thatch a little, poop (fertilize) a little, and then they are moved to a new location. It is a kind of harmony between a nature and the urban lawn.
If you always wanted fresh eggs for breakfast but never had a place to keep chickens, this is the solution for you!
Model D is selling for $400. It comes complete with watering and feeding device.

My family owns land that was formerly rented to a horticulturist. This man planted numerous trees, bushes, and hedges, but then apparently never sold them. We are talking several acres. And the majority of these trees are Crepe Myrtle. The family is willing to make a deal with anyone who might be interested. The cost of digging up these trees must be factored in.
