owners logo Dome Home for Sale! Dome Front

I have decided to sell my 1000 square foot dome home built less than 6 years ago. My main reason is because I have married a beautiful woman who resides in South Carolina and have decided to make that my home. I am anxious to build another and need to sell this one to finance the other.

In addition, this is also a strategic move that will help everyone. Banks are hesitant to loan money to individuals who wish to build any kind of unique housing. This is because unique houses may not have a resale value should the loanee default on his/her loan. So most banks adhere to a 100 mile rule. Most banks feel that they can determine the value of a home when compared to the selling price of any similar style home within a 100 mile radius. This becomes the basis for any loan.

Please understand that banks are usually very conservative and their managers have a better understanding of statistics than they do of common sense. Intuition is pushed to the side when these managers do not consider the value of a home that can withstand tornadoes, hurricanes, termites, floods (if designed properly), earthquakes, and nuclear holocausts. It is my understanding that all portfolio's benefit from investments that do well when the economy as a whole does poorly. Dome Homes can provide that investment. It is my intention that by selling my home, I can open up a 100 mile radius in Northern Georgia for others to be able to secure a loan to permit me to build their dome home.

For a better look at my dome home, feel free to browse the Portfolio. My dome is the first listed. It has three bedrooms and a bath and a half. The home comes complete with appliances, but those issues can be negotiated at closing.

It is important to note that this house is considered a starter home. It is best suited for a younger family of four. The price makes it most attractive. Still, do not judge a house by its square footage. This house is well designed to make the most of the space. An "attic" storage area makes the rest of the house to be very livable.

This home is nestled near the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Located in the town of Martin (Stephens County), it is 8 minutes from Tugalow State Park, 15 minutes from Walmart, and 15 minutes from Interstate 85.
